Where It Started
It began circulating online and in the concourses in the first weeks of the 2025-26 season, after Gyokeres arrived from Sporting Lisbon to lead the line. The travelling fans sang it at Old Trafford first, then it filtered into the home stands at the Emirates.
The Girlfriend Line
The second line refers to reports in Portugal in the summer of 2025 that Gyokeres ended a relationship with the actress Ines Aguiar when he chose to move to London. Neither of them ever confirmed it. Gyokeres was asked about the chant and gave a short, good-humored answer rather than a denial, which only made fans sing it louder.
