The Lyrics

It is sung to the same tune as the earlier Rice chant about Arsenal getting him "half price", so the crowd already knew the melody. Only the words changed.
The Clip That Started It
In April 2026 Arsenal lost 2-1 at Manchester City, a result that appeared to put the title in City's hands. Cameras caught Rice telling his teammates, including Martin Odegaard, that it was "not done". The clip went round in hours.
He was right. Arsenal won the 2025-26 Premier League, their first in twenty-two years, and the chant was first sung at Selhurst Park on the final day, just before the team lifted the trophy.
What It Means
It is a chant about refusing to lose. Arsenal fans had watched two title races slip away in the seasons before, and Rice's line became the shorthand for the difference this time. Rice has said he was not comfortable with some of the noise around him online that season, but the chant is the flattering kind.
