Bukayo Saka Chant: Lyrics, Tune and the Line That Came True

Saka running down the wing, Saka, hear the Arsenal sing, Saka, we are gonna win the league. Sung to ABBA's Voulez-Vous, started by England fans in 2023, and in May 2026 the last line finally came true.

For three seasons Arsenal fans sang a promise about Bukayo Saka that had not happened yet. In May 2026 it did.

The Lyrics

"Bukayoooo, Saka running down the wing, Saka, hear the Arsenal sing, Saka, we are gonna win the league."

The Tune

Voulez-Vous by ABBA. The long "Bukayoooo" sits on the song's opening phrase, and the three short "Saka" lines ride the disco pulse underneath.

Where It Came From

It was not an Arsenal invention. England fans started it in June 2023, during a Euro 2024 qualifier against Malta, with the last line already reading "we are gonna win the league". Arsenal supporters took it home and it became the club's Saka song through the near-miss seasons that followed, when the line was as much hope as prediction.

The Line Came True

Arsenal won the 2025-26 Premier League, their first title in twenty-two years, and lifted it at Selhurst Park on the final day. Saka, with the number seven on his back, had eighty-two Arsenal goals by then and a title parade to go with them. The chant did not need rewriting.

The FootyTracks Saka Song

Starboy to Man is the FootyTracks song about Saka's arc from Hale End to the title. Goodbye Martinelli and the Premier League 26/27 song cover the same Arsenal side. All three are above.
